  Stupid Google's stupid new logo
Posted by: crispier taco - 03-09-2015, 10:16 AM - Forum: Everything Else - Replies (10)

It's embarrassing to me, but I don't like the new logo and now every time I have a google search that tab has this distracting multicoloured 'G'

I want there to be a customisation setting where I can replace all the logos I don't like with new, bland and monocromatic logos. I want it not to bother me. I want that sense of urgency I once had in undergrad that made it easy to complete assignments. I want to wake up feeling energised like in high school.

someone indulge my tantrum and self pity. someone call me out on my bullshit.
who else hates it when they change logos? who else is an old person already?

What are you reading right now?
Posted by: Pythagean - 03-09-2015, 09:07 AM - Forum: Everything Else - Replies (17)

Anyone reading anything interesting at the moment?

Personally I'm about halfway through Ready Player One. I got this in a Lootcrate months ago, only just got around to starting it a few days ago. Here's the blurb:

Quote:In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he's jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade's devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world's digital confines—puzzles that are based on their creator's obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them.

But when Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade's going to survive, he'll have to win—and confront the real world he's always been so desperate to escape.

It's good so far, packed with of references to 90s movies and video games.

[Retro Review] Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Star Wars: Battlefront 2

[Image: Star_Wars_Battlefront_II_wallpaper-300x225.jpg]

Summary

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was a good iteration on the original game. It added several new modes and features while maintaining the core gameplay which made Battlefront such an instant success.

If you are a fan of either shooters or Star Wars, this game is worth a go. The variety of Star Wars planets, vehicles, races and weapons all stay true to the universe. The gameplay is fun and gives you several different options for how to play.

  Killing Floor 2

Whaddup. Killing Floor 2 is a wave based zombie shooter with fantastic gun-play and pretty insane difficulty.

It's $35 early access on Steam, but this one is actually going to come out.

Someone should play it with me.

Particular genre of music you hate?

For me, it's either country or death metal. Both are obnoxious and really, really lame.

What hairstyle do you rock? Do you go to a barber or a stylist?
Posted by: Rogue - 30-08-2015, 11:11 AM - Forum: Everything Else - Replies (2)

I've been rocking a long top undercut since 2012 (I have wavy hair). Best haircut on the planet IMO, and I have a face that fits it too!

I did start going to a barber about a year ago, and they do a fantastic job. I'll never go to greatclips or sportsclips ever again. I happen to go to this place called "Joe's Barbershop". Ran by one man, appointment only. The guy has such a great attention to detail, its ridiculous. He also does the job in his own house.

Has anyone played this game because I picked it up a few weeks ago and sat down to play it during my weekend and it serious is an amazing game.  I have got to go get lunch now but I just wanted to know if anyone else has played it and what their thoughts on the game was.
