With the new movie coming out in a matter of months, the Star Wars hype truly is real. In fact, the new Battlefront has just gone into open beta. And with that, I think it's definitely time to make a thread on it.
Last night I played several hours of the beta, and it was a good time! Here are some screens:
My initial impressions are that it is fun to play, but a little shallow. I don't know if it's just the modes that I played, or that there was a lot of content obviously not included, but it just didn't feel like there was anything to keep me coming back to it. It may change when the full game is released, but then again, this is how I've felt about the recent Battlefield games.
That being said, it is very meticulously designed to be Star Wars in every way possible. Every sight, sound and feel is completely faithful to the movies. The sound design in particular is phenomenal. Hearing an X-Wing zoom overheard while blaster fire is pinging around you, and then a lightsabre is activated - it's just perfect.
As you can see above, it's also a very good looking game. So far, the beta has run smoothly for me, the visuals and the servers. It's possible that EA are learning their lesson in game launches, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Hopefully, for everyone who gets it day one, it isn't a trainwreck.
I look forward to hearing about everyone else's experiences!
I grudgingly delivered. This Friday, 09/10/2015, at 8pm (UCT/GMT + 12 hours) we are playing League of Legends! Make sure to add me in game (Selegraphon) and on Skype (campbellbusch).
Do I even need to make an introduction to this god-awful game? Probably not, but here's one anyway. League of Legends is a MOBA, and one of the most popular games on the planet. It is unique in that it is not fun. I hate this game, and I'm going to have a lot of fun.
Goddess of War is the first multi-hero, 3D ARPG web game based on western mythology. There are two class for players to choose. One is Swordsman, the other is Paladin. Both class has its own features. In the game, as the main character, players need to settle the riot after the air battle, to kill the ferocious beast, and to challenge the evil dragon who attacks the empire. Also, players will experience different events, like Space Battle, Airship Escort, Arena, etc. All of these are just experience that can make you stronger.
