 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
So Jesus turns up again at the synagogue, and heals a guy even though it's the sabbath. I guess you're not supposed to do anything
on the sabbath, except mutter and disapprove of things. The Herodians are a group of Hellenistic (Greek-cultured) Jews, and like the Pharisees, aren't pleased with Jesus being such a loose cannon.

 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
So Jesus gets out of the synagogue and a crowd gathers about him from all over, even from neighbouring regions. He gets in a small boat to avoid them, and that was good because many were sick and gross. He tells his disciples not to reveal his identity, which I can respect.

 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
Here Jesus forms his own Avengers team, and it seems like he's giving them all the same powers he has. Back in book2 Jesus said, "The Son of Man hath power", so maybe that was a prelude to this. Also note the callous spoiler, but this was thought to have been written for Christians who were already down with the verbal history.

 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Here the scribes find Jesus and claim he's an agent of the Devil. Jesus counters this by saying that the forces of Satan would not fight among themselves. However, the existence of Satan was a result of a member of the house of god turning against the status quo, and civil wars and such seem regular enough. Further, even before Jesus, Judaism is built of multiple cliques (The Pharisees and Herodians, although allied now, are separate factions, and the Samaritans are another separate but similar pre-Jesus Abrahamic faith/culture. I think Jesus uses poor reasoning here.
Mark3:27 Wrote: No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
This parable apparently refers to the local common wisdom that "no one robs a strong man's house", and suggesting Satan is the strong man, and Jesus is tying up Satan in order to steal his things (expel devils). Once again, one who casts out devils who do not serve him is not proof of goodness, these devils may not recognise Satan. If you can reject God, you might also reject Satan.
Mark3:28-30 Wrote: Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Jesus here offers forgiveness to all... except heretics, who he says are at risk of eternal damnation. This is a bold move, seeing his movement might then be considered a heresy of contemporary Judaism.
Mark3:31-35 Wrote: There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
Here I think Jesus is saying: Anyone who follows God I will regard as part of my family. Which is sweet, but kind of a snub to say that with his actual family right there. But, eh.
