4 player now complete! I also did the shrine capture triggers for all 8 players. Adding the replace triggers takes an hour or two, the setters about 20 minutes, tedious work, thank god for quarantine.
I need a new name for the scenario and central shrine. Originally I called it the boggle shrine because it would randomize everybody's unit at once,but now it's more of a targetted screw one player's shit up machine. It could be a 'curse' or 'magic' thing, just need a theme to roll with.

5 player now complete! I accidentally named all my 'replace' triggers 'setters' so just for perfections sake fixed them all afterwards (more work than you think, 20 year old game grumble grumble)
Once 8P is done we can do a 4 player co-op vs the bots, they seem to not mind their units changing. so I have two things I can change (the scen name, and the shrine name). My idea is, the button names 'randomise' and 'player n' are unchangeable, so why not work that into the theme and have it high tech/robotic? The shrine becomes something like 'high tech screw you over machine" or " ◯◯-A-TRON" with the apparent magical power of the shrine actually being super high tech. ideas: (because it's giving players new weapons and armour) RE-ARM-A-TRON HIGH TECH RE-ARMOURING ROBOT HIGH TECH PRINTING APPARATUS MYSTERIOUS RE-ARMOURING CONTRAPTION (because it's a gamble) HIGH TECH SLOT MACHINE ENGINE OF BLESSING AND MISFORTUNE CONTRAPTION OF POTENTIAL PERIL (ignoring the risk in the name to so it's funnier when it happens) BLESSING-O-MIZER PROSPERITY-A-TRON

p6 done! and a few incorrect triggers fixed. the shrine is now properly invulnerable (using neg hp glitch) and all units minus siege monks vils and trade are disabled. should be done soon zzz

8 players done, but turns out there's too many triggers and 8 players stutters more than Joe Biden on Super Thursday.
I think I can solve it, but it'll take another 36*8 triggers plus editing all the replacer triggers (causing the problem) to not loop. |
