Surely Biden has too much baggage to be popular? was against gay marriage, touches little girls John Key style, etc.

Obama and Hillery were against gay marriage too. They just change their political tune based on the times. Hard to know what they really believe when like that.

yeah except he was in memes with Obama and half of democrat voters are brain poisoned by “electability” concerns and the self flagellating mission to defeat Trump at all costs by appealing to Republicans who will never vote Democrat anyway

You're all missing several key points:

  • Sanders has not shied away from the word "socialist" when it was thrown at him, this hurts electability among older voters, especially the elderly.
  • As shown on Super Tuesday, the young don't vote, so no matter how good the Sanders train was in polls, at crunch time he'll be let down.
  • Warren has taken a grudge against Bernie, and has hung in way past when she should, solely to damage Sanders.
  • BIDEN WON STATES HE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CAMPAIGN IN.
  • Biden's "safe", Bernie is radical. Guess who the majority of voters (elderly) would prefer.
  • Biden was tapped by the first black president to be VP. Forget his past, that's how you motivate black voters.
To summarise- I love Sanders, but his base don't vote when it matters, he's up against someone with bases that do vote, and Warren has harmed him by withdrawing late and certainly won't endorse Sanders. She's a very, very poor loser. She couldn't even win her own state, ans Sanders wiped her on the progressive front. Right now, there's no talk of policy, just shit talking about Bernie.

Yes BUT:

Trump was literally impeached for getting people to dig up dirt on Biden. Trump would win any day, but with the cards he has, it would take the democrats uniting (opposite of what we have seen the past 6 months) to stand a chance.

Also remember that popular vote means nothing.

People vote Biden by default, now that it's a two-horse race, top-tier vile negative campaigning by bernie bros that Bernie can't actually control will help, but yes it's hard

People talk about this stuff in regards to electability and it works on white people but it works a lot less on an increasingly active and mad brown population (including gen-x)

Bernie was polling in Super Tuesday much better before the endorsements from Klobuchar, Buttigeig and others, basically polling only matters if nothing changes and the nomination game only has twists and turns. At this point Sanders just has to push a rock up a hill for every little delegate and he and his team will.

I'm excited for the Arizona debate (on the IDES OF MARCH), mainsteam media will broadcast a man melting down into severe dementia in front of everybody's eyes, and it will be embarrassing and pitiful

Betting a bottle of wine (loser mails it to the winner) that Bernie will ultimately get the greater number of normal delegates (not super delegates)
I know this isn't actually yous' point, but take my strawman bet if you're not cowards

(also I still haven't taken my gin bet but next time womblemuppet and I are in the same place okay)
