New Zealand Tax
Oxfam research Wrote:The research revealed that New Zealand's two wealthiest men, Graeme Hart and Richard Chandler, increased their collective wealth by $1.1 billion between 2017 to 2018.

In that same period, the poorest 50 percent of New Zealanders saw their collective wealth decrease by $1.3b.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has recently caused a fair amount of outrage in suggesting that the income earned by American citizens over the $10 million threshold should be taxed at 70%.

While New Zealand is obviously quite different to the United States in regards to the extremely wealthy and welfare for the poors, our highest tax threshold is $70,000, for which the tax rate is 33%

Reckon we should have higher (marginal)tax thresholds for the very wealthy in NZ?
