JLR Unfiltered:

- Talks about mental health
- Doesn't dish out nearly enough anti-National goss
- His conversation with his post suicide attempt psychologist was both less juicy than you might hope and a bit narcissistic
- Wanted to hear him talk China conspiracy theories

What Comes After What Comes Next:

- James Shaw is kinda boring
- James and guest agreeing about how climate change is bad and we need to do more
- When James and guest disagree James doesn't fight them about it
- Is this is avenue for stepping down from politics?? Starting a podcast seems a weird move for a #1 or #2 of a party in govt? But idk, reaching out to the youth more or something

It's cool that he turned out to be a "Plan B" psycho too. Would love a podcast of his worst dirtbag takes

as it is I think he occasionally says something mental on twitter

isn't that great? maybe the cats thing, instead of being interesting talking point that kept him in the new cycle, what if he just hated cats since birth and the dudes in TOP were like "heck yeah that's brilliant!"

Everybody else in TOP were very upset that they found themselves in the anti-cat party, but yeah I think his podcast should have regular dips into anti cat diatribes

I think he (and his wife) are anti cat because they are very pro native bird

the take was just so detached. we're a society of cat lovers.
the 'end-game' was pure idealism: having our iconic and native birds thriving in a safe environment free of evil invasive species while boosting our 'green new zealand' image.
just forget about the consequences and the steps needed to get there and it's perfect. so it seems like a TOP policy to me.

yeah for sure, they're not about "tinkering at the edges" so an "indoor cats only" law would probably be in TOP style
